Course Confirmation
It is the responsibility of the student to check with the Academy, prior to the course commencement, to confirm the course will be held as scheduled.
Academy Dress Code
The International Academy colours are white, cream, beige and dark green. Between 8:00am and 6:00pm (Mon-Fri) students are required to dress in Academy colours while attending classes or working at the Academy. Crested Academy wear is required for daytime classes. For evening and weekend courses, students who are not registered in a program are encouraged to dress in official Academy colours. Students registered in a program are encouraged to wear crested tops. In accordance with the longstanding dress code and one suitable for a healthcare professional learning environment---sport (golf) shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters and dress shirts / blouses, pants, skirts and dresses are all acceptable clothing styles, so there is lots of choice. Corduroy, dress and khakis are also acceptable pant / skirt styles. Shorts should be no shorter than 3" above the knee. This also applies to skirt and dress length. Sleeveless, tank, spaghetti-strap or tube tops are not permitted. Bare midriff does not reflect a professional environment, and is not acceptable at the Academy. Due to its material construction and ability to hold bacteria etcetera, blue denim, in any fashion, is not permitted at the Academy. Shoes or boots should be clean and presentable. Open-toe sandals must be worn with socks in student-client or hands-on settings. Thank you for observing these guidelines while at the Academy. A verbal warning will be issued to any student observed disregarding the Academy dress code and the student may be asked to leave the classroom, for the first time. Should the student continue to disregard the dress code, the student will receive a written warning and be referred to the Education Committee for possible suspension.
